“Damage Have Been Done”

The end of my high school life is fast approaching. It’s passing just like the wind. Sad to say, the first semester of my last school year as a high school student is now over. L

Second quarter was a tough one. It was very hard especially in our way of managing our time because during this quarter there are so many school activities and competitions that caused me to be like a busy bee. First in the list was the science month celebration wherein we joined the collage making contest and the trash-on show that caused us to excuse in some of our classes just to finish our collage and most especially my gown for the trash-on show; Next was the Provincial Speech Choral Competition held at UNP that caused us to have practices during our Filipino class and 4-5 PM class and because of this we didn’t have enough time to finish some unfinished businesses in our ICT class and during the contest, there were only 3 competing schools and we won the 3rd place but at list we gave our best shot and maybe it was not really meant for us to win; And lastly, the Teacher’s Day Celebration. Our teachers deserve a break so during that day some students were assigned to be substitute teachers but in our class instead of having classes, we were busy preparing for our gifts as a sign of our ‘thank you’ to our teachers and we were also busy practicing our songs and we, some of the CAT officers, were also busy roaming around the campus just to make sure every section was having their classes regularly.

Time management is a challenging task so if you’re asking about my 2nd quarter grades, the only thing I’m sure about is that damage have been done. Whatever the result will be, I can’t change anything about it. Acceptance and to work more to improve my grades in the preceding quarters are the only solutions. We can't just stay where we are now; we need to lift our foot to take the next stepping stone of our life to reach our desired dreams.  Life is too short to be rude with everything so sit back, relax and have just fun. “Iyan Ang Guro Ko!”

Education is the key to success and we can’t achieve a high education status without the help of our teachers, so we must be thankful to have them.

Since we entered Kindergarten they became our second parents. We spend most of our time in school so this only means that we are spending more time with our teachers than with our parents so teachers have a great influence in a student as well as our parents. If there is no teachers there will be no doctors that can cure sick people, no business man that keeps our economy moving, there will be no responsible politicians that can lead our country, no police and soldiers that can protect us from danger, no lawyers that can fight for our rights as a human being, no architect and engineers that builds buildings, there will be no teachers that can teach students of the next generations and there will be no responsible workers that keeps our country a nice place to live if not because of the effort that our teachers giving to us.

Teachers are heroes. They are the reason why we have a beautiful country. If not because of them we cannot be able to reach our goals in life and most especially we cannot have a happy life if our teachers did not work hard enough in teaching and molding us to become a responsible and successful citizen. They are part of my life. And I am proud to have teachers who are really devoted in giving services just to make sure we are learning. IYAN ANG GURO KO! Si MA’AM! SI SIR! LAGING WAGI! J

“Unravel The Causes, Build The Solutions, Encourage Science Clubbers To Action.”

Nowadays our society is very high-tech. Almost all the works we need to do is done by machines which is product of science. And because of this our nature is now being destroyed. We need to do something.

Let us work together hand in hand to enlighten everyone’s mind about the causes of our nature’s destruction. Let us make them see it by their own naked eyes to realize what damages we have done to our dear mother earth. Let’s think together for solutions like cleaning our bodies of water, segregating garbage, planting trees, recycling materials, conserving water and energy, avoid using vehicles that can give odorous and black smokes and many more. These are just some solutions to our problems. There’s a lot more, so think and act now and save our nature.

Let us bring back our healthy mother earth. Let us work together for a better future. Start now and make changes. J

A True Modern Day Hero

Since I was born, he’s always there beside me, helping me grow and learn. He’s there whenever I’m sad or glad. He’s protective and he doesn’t let me fall on the ground. He’s always there ready to catch me. He is my DAD and he is my HERO!

My dad may not be as powerful as a politician, as brave as a police man, as smart as the smartest man, or in short he may not be the greatest man, for me he’s my #1. He may not be tall, white, or even have a perfect body like Superman still I am not ashamed of him because for me he’s the best. He’s my hero, if not because of him I won’t be able to live, I won’t be healthy, I won’t be happy, I won’t be contented, I won’t be educated and most of all, if not because of him I won’t be ME, Jolina Cabida Luna, a girl with ambitions in life.

I owe my life to my father and I love him. I am proud of my father. He’s a TRUE modern day HERO. You should also be proud of your Dad. J
